Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial diligence of startup investments prior to investment decision
  • Interact with key investors and startup customers to capture insights and feedback
  • Engage with FIS stakeholders to finalize partnership opportunities
  • Develop all required materials needed to reach an investment decision
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy and Partnership teams on select post-investment activities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to each startup on future investment opportunities
  • Provide connections to startups and relevant VC or Corporate investment partners
  • Run quarterly strategic sessions with portfolio companies (portcos)
  • Build quarterly and ad hoc reports on existing portcos
  • Manage all investment related activities in portfolio companies for future rounds of investment

Essential Skills

  • 7-10 years post undergraduate experience, including working in or with medium/large corporations
  • Familiarity with early-stage strategic investment activities (risk assessment, captable analysis, comp analysis, pipeline coverage analysis, pro-forma analysis and contract review)
  • Passion for new technology that will shape the future of finance
  • Strong attention to detail and robust analytical skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into executive ready insights
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
  • Capable of managing multiple deals running simultaneously

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience in venture capital, corporate development (corp dev) and/or corporate venture capital (CVC)
  • Excellent writing/grammar/editing skills
  • Previous sales experience, contract experience or investment experience
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $167,780.00 - $281,870.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
