Job Title: Assistant Vice President - Medical Relations La Roche-Posay

Division: L'Oreal Dermatological Beauty

What You Will Do:

Position Summary: The focus of this position is to strengthen the ties with the dermatological community, positioning La Roche-Posay as the therapeutic and aesthetic skincare brand of choice for dermatologists..

Overall Accountabilities:

  • Grow and strengthen network of dermatologists
  • Create clear vision & plan to expand medical relations initiatives for LRP and the group
  • Build reputation as leader in daily dermatological skincare within the medical & media communities.
  • Lead and Grow a team of medical relations experts

Objectives:

Manage Derm Ad Boards/Consultants for a strong communication effort among physicians

  1. Organize photoprotection, acne council meetings and related touch points for regular contact
  2. Attend/Lead national and regional KOL (key opinion leader) dinners, advisory boards, and medical detailing efforts
  3. Publish relevant clinical studies and scientific posters
  4. Support development of additional KOL boards/contacts for ther skincare brands as needed
  5. Lead experiential HCP programs including R&I Discovery Day
  6. Classify and prioritize both medical and aesthetic skincare thought leaders according to company's strategic training objectives

Build an integrated trade show plan targeting key organizations

  1. Implementation of a strong and strategic AAD Village for L'Oreal (American Academy of Dermatology)
  2. Success of LRP tradeshow calendar in general (number of leads generated based on cost per contact, sales, communication opportunities, qualitative feedback from docs and employees - post show follow up and implementation of key learnings)
  3. Lead development and management of key derm societies (AAD, WDS, ASDS, SOCS, etc.) to meet divisional strategic objectives and goals
  1. Developing and executing an annual LDB advisory board plan for national, regional thought leaders that informs commercial strategies across each brand
  1. Increase visibility at medical meetings through multi-brand CME and non-CME presentations and product theaters

Play a key role in the development of the detailing and marketing teams

  1. Monthly field visits for coaching and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) attendance in each territory
  2. Centralize media scientific materials (product and clinical information resource)
  3. Conduct regular competitive intelligence analysis alongside Mktg and MD
  4. Quarterly "ongoing education" by KOL for Mktg (aging, acne, skin cancer, dry skin)
  5. Integrating medical expertise and industry knowledge with company strategies to ensure successful communication, education and implementation of the company's medical and commercial communication efforts

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required;
  • Minimum of 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience
  • Team Management Experience
    • Proven skills in: medical and consumer marketing, strategic thinking, project management and tactical execution, analytical thinking, financial and budget management, POA and launch experience
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, with a sense of urgency and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead through influence across functional lines
  • Embrace change, adaptable with a positive, growth mindset
    • Ideal candidate should have relevant experience in skincare and/or professionally dispensed products
    • Must have strong leadership ability - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude, and team spirit
    • Proven track record in building brands within the medical community and amongst KOL's
    • Strong organization, prioritization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity and work well independently
    • Excellent social, communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA desired but not required;
  • Branded HCP and experience with digital marketing preferred
  • Dermatology experience is strongly desired
